The Big 5 Series III Rhino silver coin

Struck in uncirculated quality and limited to only 10,000 pieces worldwide, this coin is presented in an official illustrated blister card from the South African Mint. Most of the surface area of the obverse is taken by a view of a Rhinoceros in dramatic motion. The reverse of the coin features two halves of the rhino’s face, detailing its eye, ears and horn. This ingenious design allows for a complete close-up of a rhino to be seen only when two of the coins are placed next to each other. When multiple coins are placed next to each other, a herd is formed.
